Government reconstitutes Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister
According to an official release, Bibek Debroy and Ratan P Watal will continue to be the Chairman and Member Secretary, respectively of the reconstituted EAC-PM (Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister).
India extends $150 million line of credit to CARICOM nations for climate conservation projects
India on Wednesday (local time) extended a grant of USD 150 million as Line of Credit to the member states of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM) for climate conservation projects.
- PM also announced a USD 14 million grant for community development projects to the Caribbean nations.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commissioned the ICGS Varaha, the fourth in the series of seven 98-m Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) at the Chennai port.
- The ship has been designed and built indigenously by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) at its Katupalli ship building yard in North Chennai.

NASA successfully launches 17-year-old Indian student's satelliteNASA successfully launched the RamanSat 2 miniature satellite designed by 17-year-old student Aabhaas Sikka. The satellite was developed by Sikka during his internship with SPACE India with help from SPACE Group Founder and CMD Sachin Bahmba along with the company's research team. It is carrying equipment to measure the radiation from Sun and space.
India, Japan, US naval exercise Malabar begins
The 23rd edition of trilateral maritime exercise 'Malabar' between navies of India, Japan and the US began off the coast of Japan. Malabar 2019 would endeavour to further strengthen India-Japan-US naval cooperation and enhance interoperability, based on shared values and principles.
- Two frontline indigenously designed and built Indian naval ships -- multi-purpose guided-missile frigate Sahyadri and ASW Corvette Kiltan arrived at Sasebo to participate in the exercise. In addition to the ships, a 'P8I' Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft has also reached Japan for the exercise.
The starfish-shaped Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) built at a cost of about $17.5 billion was opened by Chinese President Xi Jinping. PKX is spread over an area of 700,000 square metres and has four runways.

Rupa Gurunath elected as TNCA PresidentRupa Gurunath, the daughter of former BCCI President N Srinivasan was elected as the President of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA).
- With this, she has become the first woman to head TNCA. Gurunath has been elected unanimously.
International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) announced that Sebastian Coe from UK has been elected as its President for the second term during the 52nd IAAF Congress in Doha.

Artist sets Guinness record by painting Pulwama attack bravehearts while walking on treadmill
Harsha, an artist from Hyderabad has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records by painting the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Pulwama attack while walking on a treadmill for 45 minutes.
- His name is also been recorded in the Indian Book of Record and Limca Book.
Vasudev Panchal (53), a peon in a Bhopal school has been selected for the Chief Minister's Excellence Award by the Madhya Pradesh Government for teaching Sanskrit to students for the past 23 years and securing recording 100 per cent result in the subject.
- He is a peon at the Government High School in Girota village of Depalpur development block in Indore.
The SASTRA Ramanujan prize for 2019 will be awarded to UK mathematician Adam Harper, Assistant Professor with the University of Warwick, England.
- The prize carries a citation and an award of $10,000 and is conferred annually on mathematicians from across the world who are less than 32 years of age, working in an area influenced by the genius Srinivasa Ramanujan.
With a net worth of Rs 3.8 lakh crore, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is India's richest man for the eighth consecutive year as mentioned in the IIFL Wealth-Hurun India Rich List 2019.
- London-based S P Hinduja and family worth Rs 1.8 lakh crore retain the second rank in the list.

Comedian Venu Madhav passes awayTollywood actor and comedian Venu Madhav has passed away. He was undergoing treatment for Kidney related issues.
- The veteran actor was awarded Nandi Award by the Telangana government in the year 2006 for his contribution as a comedian to the society.
Boman Rashid Kohinoor, co-owner of Iranian-Parsi restaurant Britannia & Co in Mumbai has passed away aged 97. He was suffering from cardiac issues.
