Centre approves setting up of e-Foreigner Tribunal (e-FT) in Assam The Centre has approved setting up of e-Foreigner Tribunal (e-FT) in Assam. The CEO of e-FT Mission Anand Prakash Tiwari said that the proposed integrated e-FT IT system will be implemented across the state for effective monitoring and resolution of cases registered with Foreigner Tribunal. Assam govt to set up Skill University at Darrang district Assam government will set up a Skill University at the cost of 850 crore rupees at Darrang district. This will be perhaps the first skill university of the country with a capacity of 10 thousand seats. Kimberley Process Intersessional Meeting 2019 in Mumbai The Intersessional meeting of Kimberley Process (KP) is being hosted by India from 17th to 21st June, 2019 in Mumbai. Besides meetings of different Working Groups and Committees of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), two special forums regarding Diamond Terminology and Artisanal Mining – Small Steps to Larger Outcomes, will be held during the Intersessional. Around 300 delegates from the Government of India and other participating countries, industry and civil society will be attending the five-day Meeting. ISRO to launch its own space station by 2030: ISRO Chief In one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken by India, the country is planning to launch its own space station, Indian space agency ISRO chief K Sivan said. India is targeting 2030 as the date to launch a 20 tonne space station, which will most likely be used to conduct microgravity experiments.- The preliminary plan for the space station is to accommodate astronauts for upto 15-20 days in space, but specific details will emerge after the maiden manned mission, Gaganyaan, is complete.

Bank fraud touches unprecedented Rs 71,500 crore in 2018-19: RBI Over 6,800 cases of bank fraud involving an unprecedented Rs 71,500 crore have been reported in 2018-19, the Reserve Bank of India has said.- A total of 5,916 such cases were reported by banks in 2017-18 involving Rs 41,167.03 crore, it said.

Joshna Chinappa wins record 17th national squash title Joshna Chinappa won a record 17th national squash title after outplaying Tamil Nadu's Sunayna Kuruvilla in the final. The top seeded Chinappa won the match 11-5, 11-4, 7-11, 11-5 and thus broke a 27-year-old record set by Bhuvneshwari Kumari, who had won 16 titles.
